Wyamusic

   The Wyalusing Music Boosters Orginanization does a ton for our Music Students here at Wyalusing.  They do fundraising and help with many of the "extras" that we do, and are a great support organization for both music students, and teachers.  Their major fundraising activity is running the concession stand at football games, and this brings in a large portion of their operating budget every year.  I need to be clear:  they are NOT a Band parents group, but a Music parents group.  I need to say this because their major activity revolving around football games has historically meant that there is a maximum involvement of Band parents, and a lamentible minium involvement of Orchestra and Chorus parents.  Every year the Music Parents shelled out thousands of dollars for busses, trip fees, Master Classes with professional musicians, Elementary General Music class instruments, etc.. for every group and part of our music program here at Wyalusing (I'm afraid even I don't know the depth of their giving to our program, as they're always helping with things).  If your child is in music, loves music, or you also believe in the importance of broad musical experience for our children in our community, then PLEASE volunteer to help.  Their Contact Information is below.  I'd love to see everyone involved in this, and if we got maximum involvement from parents of children in all the musical ensembles here at Wyalusing, the workload would be very light, and things would run very smoothly for the group that works tirelessly to support ALL MUSIC in our district.  As it has historically been over the past few years, the number of involved parents is countable on my hands and less than one foot for something that is benefitting every one of our children (which meant a ton of time and effort for a few - let's spread this out eh?).  Again, I plead with you, GET INVOLVED, even if you can only offer One Friday night, or an afternoon at a Pee Wee football game, etc.  That very little on your part, if it is all of us, makes so much of a difference!  Thank you all in advance.
